We can’t do it all, so we do most things poorly—on a good day. And we’ve lived like this for so long that we don’t even realize how very far we are from reaching our potential!

Most times, we’re just reacting, as though we’re being jerked to and fro by some gigantic remote-control device. We’re trying desperately to keep one thing or other from crashing and burning. And we’re doing well just to make sure the kids are off to school wearing matching socks, and we don’t forget the big proposal on the kitchen table after working on it most of the night, and we’re getting most of our bills paid before they’re 30 days overdue.

GIRL sleep for 64 DAYS; Amazing!

Nicole Delien

Teenager Nicole Delien, a Pennsylvania girl, reportedly slept for 64 days, starting from last year’s Thanksgiving Day to January of this year. The 64 days of sleep is Delien‘s longest yet.
Reports say that the 17-year-old teen is suffering from a rare sleep disorder called Kleine-Levine, or ‘Sleeping Beauty Syndrome.’

Delien‘s condition wakes her up in a confused state for a short period for her to be able to eat, went to the bathroom and sleep again.

According to Delien‘s mother, Vicki, the real-life sleeping beauty usually sleeps about 18 to 19 hours a day. Delien’s mother wakes her up to eat.

The Delien Family revealed and explained the “sleeping beauty syndrome” during an interview with Jeff Probst’s syndicated talk show this week to make sure other families become aware of the rare disorder.

The real condition of Delien was uncovered by a doctor at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
An Oxford Journals indicated that symptoms leading to the “sleeping beauty syndrome” include excessive sleeping, disorientation, hallucination, child-like behaviour, binge-eating and periods of hyper-sexuality when awake.

Meet Kenya’s Queen of Styles. FASHION MEETS CREATIVITY

INSIDE AFRICAN GALLERIA - KENYA
KEMUNTO TESH.

Ayemafrica’s visit to the World of a Kenyan Queen: Kemunto Tesh.

Meet Kenya’s Queen of Styles. FASHION MEETS CREATIVITY
KEMUNTO TESH.

Who is Kemunto?
Kemunto Tesh is a goddess of African culture because she truly represents the African society. Her love for African attire is brought to bear by her fully blossomed figure which she usually covers in African attire.

Kemunto Tesh is so intimately drawn to the African colour, nature and culture; these attributes are exemplified by her fond love of the African Coastal scenery.

Her works: AFRICAN GALLERIA
The design of the African attire truly represents her deep African roots, which she believes are well portrayed in a woman by the way she dresses. The attire of a woman speaks volumes of her character in the African culture.
Apparently the beauty of a woman in African culture is pronounced by her character and not physical characteristics.

Kemunto Tesh's love of beauty is thus expressed in the love of her African attire and that love for Africa and Kenya in particular is a true exhibit of her roots that extends to the involvement of the youths in the production of these attires.

What is the spirit behind this creative concept; AFRICAN GALLERIA?

African families extend well beyond parents and siblings.
A true spirit of an African woman is to be the keeper of the family.
The production of these attires has helped the youths by creating a source of income and keeps them from indulging in activities detrimental to their livelihood...e.g. drug abuse and alcohol among others.
It is not only the youths that are involved in the manufacturing of these products; Kemunto Tesh's love to build her African community has compelled her to involve her fellow African women so as to share the benefits.

Elderly women weave the bags and baskets, while the sandals are made by male youths.

Materials used for sandals is mainly leather, beads among others.
And bags...are made using makuti(papyrus)fibres and kikoi or leso(wrapper).

To produce one pair of sandals, it takes up to 3 days, while a bag takes a day.

KEMUNTO TESH.

We at Ayemafrica celebrate the spirit of this great African lady who has gone miles to inspire a lot of African youths in Kenya and other parts of Africa. Kemunto Tesh also run an Orphanage Home. This is a true spirit of what we stand for.
If you are making impact anywhere in Africa, Ayemafrica will be glad to share your story as a source of inspiration to African youth community.

The Secret Door to Success - Chapter 1; BOOK YOU MUST READ.

Chapter 1 - The Secret Door to Success

by Florence Scovel Shinn

A successful man is always asked - "What is the secret of your success?"
"So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets; and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city."--Joshua 6:20
A successful man is always asked - "What is the secret of your success?"
People never ask a man who is a failure, "What is the secret of your failure?" It is quite easy to see and they are not interested.
People all want to know how to open the secret door to success.
For each man there is success, but it seems to be behind a door or wall. In the Bible reading, we have heard the wonderful story of the falling of the walls of Jericho.
Of course all biblical stories have a metaphysical interpretation.
We will talk now about your wall of Jericho: the wall separating you from success. Nearly everyone has built a wall around his own Jericho.
This city you are not able to enter, contains great treasures; your divinely designed success, your heart's desire!

DR OBY EZEKWESILI; Nurturing An Entrepreneurial Mindset – The Pathway To A New Nigeria

Nurturing An Entrepreneurial Mindset – The Pathway To A New Nigeria; By
DR OBY EZEKWESILI

WHAT IS AN ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDSET?
It’s a way of thinking and behaving that capitalizes on opportunities by an unusual willingness to take risks and to pursue an idea until it creates value and impact. The core set of ingredients that make up the mindset of an entrepreneur are motivation, determination, passion, untiring work ethic and hunger to succeed. A true entrepreneur has a mindset that shuns mediocrity and would pursue until mediocre becomes remarkable. Although entrepreneurship the process from which an entrepreneur is named is fundamentally associated with business, the art of having an entrepreneurial mind is broader than the circumscribed world of business. A community or nation of people who have the characteristics or ingredient that drives them to reject what President Roosevelt called “a life of ignoble ease” can all be regarded to have an entrepreneurial mindset regardless of the diversity of their professions and vocations.
We know that the major problem of the drift of our nation since our independence is our inability to transform the opportunities that the whole world know we have in abundance to basic improvement in the quality of life of our citizens. The absolute lack of entrepreneurship which is defined as the process of making money, earning profits and increasing wealth through risk taking, management, leadership and innovation in the manner of governance of our nation has cost us thus far the greatness that was hoped of our nation when like many other nations we parted ways with colonialism. Our underperformance as a country and people is directly traceable to our poor choice of mindset. Simply, we have lacked the leadership of the kind that moved a nation like Botswana from a 98% aid dependent economy at independence to one that upon discovering diamond judiciously invested the proceeds to grow itself into one of Africa’s very few upper middle income countries.
